PMDG’s Robert Randazzo recently shared updates on the latest 737 patch, the anticipated release of the 777F, and the upcoming “Queen of the Skies.”
Boeing 777F
According to Randazzo, while development and testing on the 777F have been progressing well, it missed the projected release window of “before the end of October.” He acknowledged many questions surrounding the release timing, particularly for MSFS2020 and MSFS2024. Although PMDG has some clarity on the release process, a full understanding remains elusive. As a result, the 777F’s release has been delayed slightly. In the meantime, the developers are using this additional time to enhance gameplay details for the aircraft. Randazzo didn’t specify a new release date but mentioned that the plane will soon be handed off to streamers for preview.
Boeing 747
Randazzo also provided an in-depth update on the Boeing 747. It was previously known that PMDG was working on this aircraft, but new details confirm that one teaser image was indeed of the 747 ‘classic’. For the first time, PMDG will include both the 747-400 series and the 747-100 in their lineup, with both coming exclusively to MSFS2024. The team also plans to add other variants over time, including the 747SP, RA001, and Air Force One. For now, they’ve shared an early render of the overhead panel and a team image, as the project is still in active development.

Finally, PMDG issued a minor update for the Boeing 737 in MSFS. Version 3.00.0106 is now available for download and addresses some of the issues from last week’s 105 update.
